The winners of the Plus Camerimage Competitions were announced on Saturday 6th Decembrerduring the Closing Ceremony of the 16th International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Plus Cameirmage 2008
MUSIC VIDEOS COMPETITION

Starting this year, Plus Camerimage will be presenting an Award for Best Cinematography in a Music Video. The six nominees will be judged by the jury comprised mainly of cinematographers. The audience award will also be presented.

STUDENT ETUDES COMPETITION

Student Etudes Competition presents etudes selected from submissions sent by film schools from all over the world. The competitive films will be judged by an international Jury comprised of the recognized personages of film industry.

16 FILMS IN THE MAIN COMPETITION

The line-up of the Main Competition of the 16th International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography is announced. 16 visually outstanding films, produced in 2007 and 2008, will compete for the Festival's Grand Prix - Golden Frog. The films will be judged by the international Jury comprised of the world-acclaimed experts.

PLUS CAMERIMAGE 2008 PROLOGUE - SPECIAL SCREENING OF "W."

This year, the organizers of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Plus Camerimage have prepared a special treat for the audience. The Prologue of the Festival will feature the premiere screening of W. - the latest film by director Oliver Stone and cinematographer Phedon Papamichael.
POLISH FILMS COMPETITION UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF PLUS NETWORK OPERATOR

SPECIAL AWARD TO THE EDITOR WITH UNIQUE VISUAL SENSITIVITY

It is our pleasure to announce that Plus Camerimage 2008 introduces the Special Award to the Editor with Unique Visual Sensitivity which will go to Pietro Scalia, one of the world's best known and most-awarded film editors.
KAZIMIERZ KARABASZ AWARDED FOR ACHIEVEMENTS IN DOCUMENTARY

An outstanding Polish documentary filmmaker, the co-originator of so called Polish school of documentary, Professor Kazimierz Karabasz, will receive the Special Award for the Outstanding Achievements in Documentary Filmmaking. Three of his films will be presented within the review of Milestones of Polish Documentary.

OSCAR WINNING DOCUMENTARIES

"Oscar Winning Documentaries", being a part of the Documentary Section of PLUS CAMERIMAGE, is organised in cooperation with The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The screenings will be held in ŁDK (Łodź Community Centre), which will become our second festival centre.

NOKIA MOBILE MOVIE COMPETITION

We are pleased to announce that the position of a Jury Chairman for Nokia Mobile Movie Competition has been accepted by Sławomir Idziak, the renowned cinematographer who has made such films as The Double Life of Véronique , Three Colors: Blue , Black Hawk Down and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. We would also like to inform that the deadline for NMMC has been set for the 31 October 2008

FESTIVAL PROGRAMME IN GENERAL OUTLINE

JEREMY THOMAS HONOURED WITH THE AWARD TO THE PRODUCER

At the upcoming edition of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Plus Camerimage the first ever Award to the Producer of Visually Outstanding Films will be presented to Jeremy Thomas, who thanks to his film oeuvre, which proves his visual sensitivity, will certainly go down in the history of cinema.

NEW CENTRE OF ŁÓDŹ PRESENTED AT CINEC TRADE FAIR

POSTER FOR THE 16TH EDITION OF PLUS CAMERIMAGE FESTIVAL

It is our great pleasure to present the poster for this year’s edition of Plus Camerimage Festival. It was designed by Andrzej Pągowski, the author of more than 1000 posters published in print in Poland and abroad. He has designed over 140 posters for Polish films and many posters for film festivals and reviews. For his works he has been awarded with many Polish and international prizes.

ALAN PARKER PRESENTED WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TO DIRECTOR

It is our pleasure to announce that British director and scriptwriter Sir Alan Parker will be granted our Lifetime Achievement Award to the Director with Unique Visual Sensitivity. The presentation of the Award will be accompanied by the publication of the book on his life and work, the retrospective review of his films and a photography exhibition.
PLUS CAMERIMAGE AWARD GOES TO ANDRZEJ ŻUŁAWSKI

Andrzej Żuławski will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award to Polish Director with Unique Visual Sensitivity at this year's Festival. Members of the 2008 Plus Camerimage Award Committee decided to honour one the most remarkable and at the same time controversial Polish directors, who produced most of his films abroad.
