CLUJ-NAPOCA: Director Bogdan Theodor Olteanu and producers Anamaria Antoci and Anda Ionescu presented the Romanian project Mia Misses Her Revenge at the fifth edition of Transilvania Pitch Stop taking place at the Transilvania IFF, which concluded on 9 June 2019.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Polish project Accidents was presented by director Michal Bielawski at the 8 June 2018 Less Is More (LIM) pitching forum at the Transilvania IFF, which spotlights low-budget films.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Bulgarian project Beggar by director Nadya Koseva and producer Vladimir Andreev was presented at the fifth edition of Transilvania Pitch Stop taking place at the Transilvania IFF, running through 9 June 2019. The film is being produced by Borough Film.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: November Dream directed by Gabi Sarga and Catalin Rotaru, and produced by Adina Sadeanu, was one of four Romanian and Moldovan projects pitched at the fifth edition of Transilvania Pitch Stop taking place at the Transilvania IFF, running through 9 June 2019. The forum is open to young filmmakers competing for prizes including 50,000 EUR in development/production support.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Romanian project Ink Wash by writer/director Sarra Tsoradkidis, co-writer and actress Ilinca Harnut, and producer Anca Puiu, was presented at the fifth edition of Transilvania Pitch Stop taking place at the Transilvania IFF, running through 9 June 2019.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Transilvania IFF's director Tudor Giurgiu wore his film producer hat for the fifth edition of Transilvania Pitch Stop taking place at the festival which runs through 9 June 2019. Giurgiu’s company Libra Films and film director Eva Pervolovici presented their project Oceane. Four Romanian and Moldovan films were among the projects competing for prizes that included 50,000 EUR in development/production support.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Producer Irina Malcea and director Alexandru Mavrodineanu presented their film project A Serious Man at the fifth edition of Transilvania Pitch Stop taking place at the Transilvania IFF, running through 9 June 2019. They are one of four teams of filmmakers from Romania and Moldova competing for prizes including 50,000 EUR in development/production support.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Industry section at the 18th Transilvania IFF, running through 9 June 2019, showed off the dynamic and solution-driven initiatives of the Romanian film industry with the launches of new and innovative programmes. One of those is the Romanian Film + training programme, which announced the expansion of its activities to encompass debut films from Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria and Serbia.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Transilvania IFF launched its new VOD platform TIFF Unlimited on 6 June 2019, an initiative which expands both the time line and the geographic impact of the 18-year-old festival. The idea was the brainchild of the festival’s director Tudor Giurgiu, a bon vivant multi-hyphenate with a flair for the visionary.

ZLIN: The Dutch/German coproduction My Extraordinary Summer with Tess by Steven Wouterlood won the Best Children’s film award at the 59th Zlin International Film Festival for Children and Youth, which concluded on 1 June 2019. The award for Best Youth film went to the Canadian film Giant Little Ones directed by Keith Behrman.
