SARAJEVO: The Sarajevo Film Festival has awarded best regional TV series for the first time ever. Most of the awards went to the Serbian series The Family, created and directed by Bojan Vuletić.

SARAJEVO: Iván Szabó, the writer behind Land of Storms (2014), which premiered at the Berlinale and competed for the Heart of Sarajevo, returns to the Sarajevo Film Festival to present his TV series project The Grand Trial at the festival’s CineLink Drama held 14-19 August 2021.

SARAJEVO: Adrian Sitaru, whose feature film Ilegitim (Domestic Film, 2016) won the C.I.C.A.E. Award in the Berlinale Forum, and Tudor Giurgiu, whose third feature film Why Me? (Libra Film, 2015) premiered in the Berlinale Panorama, are presenting their TV series projects at Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLinkDrama, running 14-19 August 2021.

SARAJEVO: Emanuel Parvu, double winner of the Heart of Sarajevo award, for his debut feature Meda or the Not So Bright Side of Things (FAMart Association, 2017) and short film Everything Is Far Away (Scharf Film, 2018), returns to the Sarajevo Film Festival to present his project for the second feature film Three Miles to the End of the World at the CineLink Co-production Market, which will take place from 14 till 19 August 2021.

SARAJEVO: Marko Grba Singh, whose latest documentary Rampart (Nanslafu Films, 2021) premiered at the Locarno Film Festival 2021, is presenting his debut feature project Forget the Ocean, Why Not Try Surfing These Insane River Waves at Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLink Co-production Market, which will take place from 14 till 19 August 2021.

SARAJEVO: Urša Menart, whose debut feature My Last Year as A Loser was a great success in Slovenia, winning Best Film and Best Screenplay Awards at the national film festival, is presenting her second feature film project Everything That Is Wrong with You at Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLink Co-production Market, which will take place from 14 till 19 August 2021.

SARAJEVO: Igor Šterk, the prominent Slovenian director whose latest film Come Along (A.A.C. Productions, 2016) premiered at CineKid in Amsterdam, is presenting his sixth feature film project Lunatic at Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLink Co-production Market, which will take place from 14 to 19 August 2021.

SARAJEVO: Konstantin Bojanov, the Bulgarian writer/director whose first feature film Avé (2011) premiered at the Critics' Week in Cannes, and whose second feature Light Thereafter (2017) premiered in competition at IFF Rotterdam, is presenting his third feature film project Gambit at Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLink Co-production Market, which will take place from 14 to 19 August 2021.

SARAJEVO: Sarajevo Film Festival's industry section has announced the 10 projects in post-production that will be presented as part of the CineLink Work-in-Progress.

SARAJEVO: The Bosnia and Herzegovina Film Fund has awarded grants for nine feature films in the amount of 376,311 EUR / 736,000 KM and four feature documentaries in the amount of 59,310 EUR / 116,000 KM.
