Dear festival friends,

We are pleased to inform you about the opening of the new  edition of the 14th Aye Aye Film festival which will take place in Nancy (Lorraine region, France) from 31 August to 6 September 2008.

Since 1995, our festival has presented a great variety of cinematographic works. Throughout the years, the team of the festival has selected original creations that reflect the subjectivity of their authors. Each year the festival programme offers almost 130 films that show present trends and refer to the "rare birds" in the history of the cinema.

Our festival is non-commercial; the festival program contains two main programme categories:
The Aye Aye Film Festival hosts European short film Competition that features approx. 30-40 short films. All sort of films (max. 45 min.) are welcome: fiction, documentary, animation, be it professional, student or amateur works.
In addition to a variety of independent screenings, in its section Orient Express, Aye Aye highlights films focused on East and Central Europe.

In case you have any interesting films (produced in 2007) that could well fit in our festival focus, we would be honoured to receive the preview DVD for our festival pre-selection.

Deadline for submitting your film for this years' festival is the 1st May 2008! Please do not hesitate to apply now!
