Application process to the next edition of ScripTeast has started!

Application process to the next edition of ScripTeast, a training project for scriptwriters from Central and Eastern Europe, is open now! The closing date for sending the applications in is the 30th of May.

The next, third edition will be inaugurated with a weeklong stationary session in September/ October 2008.

In the two editions so far, ScripTeast has been working with Monte Hellman (director and screenwriter; producer of Quentin Tarantion's "Reservoir Dogs"), Cedomir Kolar (producer of "Before the rain", "Train of Life" and Oscar winning "No Man's Land"), Enzo Monteleone (screenwriter of Oscar winning film "Mediterraneo"), Lynda Myles (producer of "The Commitments" by Alan Parker and "The Van" by Stephen Frears), Peter Webber (director of Oscar nominated "Girl with a Pearl Earring") and Petr Zelenka (screenwriter of "Loners"; director of "Buttoners" and "Year of the Devil") to name a few.

There are two more stationary sessions scheduled in the yearlong program - Evaluation during Berlinale and Concluding at Cannes Film Festival, where the best screenplay taking part in ScripTeast will be presented with the Krzysztof Kieslowski Award, meaning also 10000 euros for the author/s.

ScripTeast is organized by The Independent Film Foundation and supported by The Media Plus Programme, Polish Film Institute, Polish Television (TVP) and Apple Film Production, with partnership of European Film Academy, Ateliers du Cinéma Européen, e-Talenta and festivals in Berlin, Cannes and Karlove Vary.
