| Barrandov channel prepares for summer launch |

The new digital Czech channel TV Barrandov, which plans to launch this summer, has signed a deal with UK- and Australian-based distributor Southern Star International for a package of 21 British and Australian television shows, according to the international publishing company C21 Media The package includes the UK dramas All Saints, Two Twisted and Wire In The Blood as well as factual programming such as Attack!, Forensic Investigators, Lemur Street and True Stories. TV Barrandov is a private, commercial channel is being launched by Prague-based Barrandov Film Studios. It is one of six new digital channels that have obtained compensatory licences for digital terrestrial broadcasting.
