The fifth edition of Eurocine27 on May 9 will screen films from the 27 EU member countries in Brussels.

The one-day festival began in 2004 as a way to celebrate the addition of 10 new EU members by choosing one film to represent each EU country.

Now in its fifth edition, EuroCine's (www.eurocine27.eu) selected films this year include Autumn Ball (Estonia), Bestiarum  (Czech Republic), Following Her (Romania), Heroes in the Sky (Malta), Honey and Wine (Cyprus), Investigation (Bulgaria), Konyek (Hungary), L...like Love (Slovenia), Return of the Storks (Slovakia), Strawberry Wine (Poland), Vogelfrei (Latvia), and Whisper of Sin (Lithuania). 

The festival is sponsored the European Commission, RTL TV1, and Martini. The films will screen at UGC's De Brouckere and Toison d'Or cinemas beginning at 11:30 am, with the final screenings at 10 pm.
