    Commissioner Andrus Ansip argues that DSM should be seen as the blueprint for Europe’s social, economic and industrial future. The Commission will aim to finalise all remaining DSM initiatives by the end of 2016.
    28/07: Digital single market: No extra tax burden for SMEs, insists Commission – The Parliament Magazine
    The Commission Vice President Andrus Ansip stated firmly that EU plans to create a digital single market will not impose additional tax burdens on small businesses. In 2017, the Commission will also table plans for a VAT simplification package designed to support the growth of SMEs and to make it easier for them to trade across borders.

    Paramount case
    26/07: Commission accepts commitments by Paramount on cross-border pay-TV services –European Commission website
    The European Commission has made commitments offered by Paramount legally binding under EU antitrust rules. These address the Commission's concerns regarding certain clauses in film licensing contracts for pay-TV between Paramount and Sky UK.
