    25/11: Council agrees position on new digital rules - Council of the European Union 

    On 25 November 2021, the Council agreed on a general approach for the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA), two key legislative files to help create a safe and open digital space for EU citizens and businesses.

    29/11: Ministers Simoniti and Kustec at the meeting of the Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council - Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union

    EU ministers responsible for culture, led by Minister Simoniti, are due to approve conclusions on high-quality architecture and the New European Bauhaus, and on European audiovisual and media content. 

    Audiovisual Media Services Directive

    25/11: Revised AVMSD Tracking Table - AVMSD has been transposed in the Netherlands - EAO

    The table presents a purely informative overview of the process of implementation of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive 2018/1808 into the national legal systems of the 27-EU member states and in the UK. In the case of Belgium, the Flemish, French and German speaking communities were represented separately.

    Intellectual property rights

    16/11: European Parliament outlines necessary steps in IP reform efforts - European Commission

    The European Parliament has adopted with an overwhelming majority a report on the European Commission's "EU Intellectual Property Action Plan". This presents an important step forward in addressing weaknesses in the current intellectual property (IP) system.
