Kids Kino Industry – Save the date!

The 6th international co-production forum for the creators of films and series for young audiences, organised as part of the 9th Kids Kino International Film Festival, will take place on 27–30 September 2022 in Warsaw, Poland + online

This year, KKI will be a hybrid event, held both online and live in Warsaw.

The call for projects will start off in April 2022. Stay tuned for the news – we will soon publish all the necessary information on our website, in the Pitch Your Project section.

Kids Kino Industry is the only event of this type in Central and Eastern Europe. Every year, it is visited by more than 300 representatives of film industry, searching for the best projects for young audiences. The visitors include companies such as Netflix, Canal+, ViacomCBS, ARRI, Indie Sales, New Europe Film Sales, LevelK, Windrose, Platige Image, Beta Film, Film Republic, and Nickelodeon. For the participating filmmakers, the forum is an opportunity to find future investors, co-producers, distributors, sales agents, broadcasters, VOD platforms that can help them implement their ideas for films or series. This is also a chance to extend their business networks.

The highlight of the four-day forum is the annual pitching event of projects in development and works in progress. The pitched projects present feature, animated, and documentary films and series for children and teenagers. The titles presented in the previous editions included, among others, Double Trouble, Triple Trouble, and Odo. Too Old for Fairy Tales and Detective Bruno are already awaiting their cinema release.

    And there’s more!

The pitching session is customarily accompanied by a conference section. The panel discussions concerning the latest trends in the AV industry and film market feature the representatives of the leading film companies and institutions from Poland and abroad.

Screenwriters, directors, and producers can consult their scripts with the tutors of the Kids Kino Lab and Kids Kino Docs programmes. There are also networking events, such as speed meetings.

As usual, the final session of the Kids Kino Lab script development workshop will be organised parallel to the forum. Again, Warsaw will be visited by more than 20 emerging producers selected for the Producers LINK programme, organised in cooperation with Cinekid and Cinekid for Professionals. The producers will take part in the pitchings and in the special programme addressed to them, which will be continued in October at the Cinekid festival.

In the first edition of Producers LINK, Poland was represented by Małgorzata Wabińska (Entertain Pictures), Joanna Ronikier (Running Rabbit Films), and Jakub Karwowski (Letko).

The call for the Producers LINK programme will be announced in the second half of 2022.
