CentEast Market Warsaw Oct. 17-21

    We are pleased to inform you about the selection of films and projects that will be presented at the 3rd CentEast Market Warsaw. CentEast Market Warsaw will be held October 17-21, 2007 and is organised by the Warsaw Film Foundation. The Sponsors and Partners are: MEDIA Programme of the European Union, Nescafé, Film Finders – A Division of Withoutabox, Hotel Sofitel Victoria, Twins, British Airways, BenQ, and MEDIA Desk Poland. The event is supported by Polish Film Institute and Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

    Running parallel to the Warsaw International Film Festival and cramped between Mipcom, Rome Business Street, Mannheim Meetings and AFM, The CentEast Market Warsaw presents the very best of Central and Eastern European Cinema of the last 6 months, and includes the Warsaw Screenings, a selected presentation of a new Polish films with international potential. In total thirteen completed feature films from Central and Eastern Europe and three medium length Polish films will be presented along five works-in-progress, and eight feature length projects. The market locations are Hotel Sofitel Victoria and Kinoteka.

    CentEast Market Warsaw welcomes over 70 foreign professionals; film producers, distributors, sales agents, film funds representatives and festival programmers, among which representatives from Arthaus (Norway); Cinemart (Czech Rep.); Czech Television (Czech Rep.); Dreamachine (France); EastWest Filmdistribution (Austria); Filmmuseum (The Netherlands); MDC Int (Germany); MDM (Germany); MTV-Hungarian Public Television (Hungary); Neue Visionen Film (Germany); Nordisk Film Sales (Denmark); Profit (Russia); Svensk Filmindustri (Sweden); Yume Pictures (United Kingdom) Zentropa (Denmark); and the Berlin, Cannes, Karlovy Vary, Mar del Plata, and other film festivals.
