Mixed Q3 Results for Cinema City

Central European exhibitor Cinema City (www.cinemacity.nl) reported cinema revenues of 197.6 million euros at the end of Q3 2011, an increase of some 11% over 2010, but EBITDA dropped 20.6% to 53.3 million euros for the nine months. Operating profit fell 43% to 17.1 million euros for the period.

PRODUCTION: Ho Ho Ho 2: A Family Lottery Begins Filming

BUCHAREST: A sequel to the family film Ho Ho Ho started filming on 7 November 2011 and is expecting to wrap 2 December,, representatives of the production company MediaPro Pictures (www.mediapropictures.com) told FNE. The director Jesus del Cerro is working on the script written by an American, Collin Jay Blair, and adapted into Romanian by Gabriela Ceuta. Alma Sârbu is producing for MediaPro Pictures. Shooting is taking place in and around Bucharest.

Estonia Funds Film Commission

TALLiNN: Enterprise Estonia, the country's enterprise and export support agency, will finance the launch of an Estonian film commission. The initial investment in setup and operational costs for the first 3 years will amount to 609,000 EUR, with an additional 261,000 EUR required as collateral funding from the commission and its partners.
