Like in his two previous long documentaries, Totally Personal (SaGa Production, 2005) and A Cell Phone Movie (Foto Art Sarajevo, 2011), Begović is the main protagonist, an author at the end of his life making his last film from remnants of imagined and never-realized film shots. He thus encapsulates his entire experience into a project which applies “nano-technology and nano-creativity” in an effort to explore the possibilities of film expression.
Begović is also the scriptwriter and the DoP.
The Only Thing Left to Do Is to Cut off My Ear / Još samo da otkinem uhois produced by HAVA Sarajevo from Bosnia and Herzegovina in coproduction with Croatia’s Factum and Montenegro’s MAT Film.
Representatives of HAVA told FNE that some scenes were already filmed during the research, but most of the shooting will be in 2016. The project is currently in the fundraising stage. Coproducers from EU and Switzerland are welcomed.
The budget is 150,000 EUR of which 60, 000 EUR is already in place, representatives of HAVA told FNE. Film Foundation Sarajevo and the Ministry of Culture of Canton Sarajevo are supporting the project. The premiere is expected in 2016.
