FNE at Sarajevo FF: Georgian Debut Scary Mother Wins 2017 Sarajevo Film Festival

    SARAJEVO: Scary Mother, the first feature from young Georgian director Ana Urushadze, was awarded best film in the competition programme for feature films of the 2017 edition of Sarajevo Film Festival, that took take place from 11 to 18 August 2017.

    Another debut feature, Meda or The Not So Bright Side of Things / Meda sau partea nu prea fericită a lucrurilor by the Romanian director Emanuel Pârvu, was awarded best director and also best actor for Șerban Pavlu.

    John Cleese and Oliver Stone received the Honourary Heart of Sarajevo awards.
