SARAJEVO: After the success of her debut feature Soldiers. A Story from Ferentari, the Serbian-Romanian writer/director Ivana Mladenović is presenting her second feature film project Summer Night, Half Past Ten at CineLink Co-production Market, set to take place from 14 to 16 August 2018 in the framework of Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLink Industry Days.

The story of Ana, a Serbian actress living in Romania, who quickly gets caught in political games after returning to her hometown on the Danube river for a music festival that celebrates friendship between the two nations, is to be produced by Baš Čelik’s Jelena Mitrović and HiFilm’s Ada Solomon, who also cooperated on Mladenović’s previous film.

Summer Night, Half Past Ten is a contemporary fairy tale and a funny poetic journey at the same time, as well as an introduction to a melting pot of nations and relations in a small community. It is a delicate story about the power of love, the power of music to unite and last but not least, a story about light and energy. Or about enlightening”, Ada Solomon said in a statement.

The project is at the beginning of the financing phase and has so far only 70,000 EUR in-kind support guaranteed by Vision Team Serbia, but the producers are hoping to attract European minority coproducers, who would help them close the financial structure of the project.

At this moment, no definite deals regarding sales agents have been made.

The shooting of Summer Night, Half Past Ten should start in 2019 and the premiere is expected for the first half of 2020.
