Pavel Stanchev Appointed CEO at BTV

SOFIA: Central European Media Enterprises (CME) has appointed Pavel Stanchev as CEO of BTV, its main Bulgarian TV channel. Stanchev will move to the new post on 1 February 2014.

This is the latest management of several replacements at CME in the past half year, following the appointment of Aleksander Cesnavicius as General Director of Romanian operations for CME. at ProTV S.A. in 1 December 2013.

During 20 years in the field, Stanchev has been CEO at Nova Televizia Bulgaria, Kanal D Romania, HBO Romania, and RTL Croatia. In 2013 he became CEO for the South-Eastern operations of the Greece’s Antenna Group, managing Antenna channels in Serbia, Muntenegro and Slovenia.

He replaces Vicky Politova at BTV.
