FESTIVALS: Zagreb Film Festival Announces Competition

    ZAGREB: The 17th Zagreb Film Festival will be held over the course of a record 11 days, from 7 to 17 November 2019. Around 100 films will be screened in 12 film programmes at eight locations in Zagreb and another 20 Croatian cities. For the first time in 10 years, the recently closed cinema Europa won’t be the central festival venue.

    The main competition comprises 12 debut feature films, including a Romanian/Serbian coproduction Ivana the Terrible by Ivana Mladenović and a Dutch/Bosnian coproduction Take Me Somewhere Nice by Ena Sendijarević.
