Ana was locked away in a psychiatric institution by her
parents at the age of 16 for five years. After being released from the
hospital, still addicted to medicines, under continuous PTSD seizures, and on
the verge of committing suicide, she finds purpose and meaning in her life in
taking revenge on the hospital director and her parents. The only people she
can rely on are her psychiatrist Dr. Lovrović and her girlfriend Martina. The film is produced by the Croatian company FADE IN (www.fadein.hr) with Mabić as a producer and Iva Tkalec as associate producer. Drugi Plan (www.drugiplan.hr, site under construction) is coproducing. The film was financially supported by the City of Zagreb - Department of Culture (www.zagreb.hr) with 9,400 Euro and the Netherlands Embassy in Zagreb (www.kroatie.nlambassade.org) with 14,800 Euro. FADE IN came with 4,000 Euro and Drugi Plan with 4,667 Euro, Morana Komljenović, the president of FADE IN, told FNE. The Ministry of Culture (www.min-kulture.hr) contributed 270 Euro for marketing the film. Sick was shot from 2009 to 2011. Bojana Burnać and Almir Fakić are the DOP's. The film will be released in the cinemas at the end of 2012. No sales agent is attached to the project yet.
