FESTIVALS: One World 2017 Announces Lineup and Other Programmes

    PRAGUE: The 19th edition of One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival will screen 121 documentaries in 15 thematic categories from 6 to 15 March 2017. The festival will present unique footage from both sides of the conflict with Islamism.

    Twelve films will screen in the International Competition, thirteen films will compete for the Václav Havel Jury Award in the Right to Know section and twelve domestic documentaries were selected in the newly established Czech Competition.

    A new thematic category is Vote for Change!, which reflects the growth of populism in the world. Other thematic categories are: Dreams of Europe, Family Happiness, Who's Normal?, Face of the City, Journeys to Freedom, So-called Civilisation, The Power of the Media and Panorama.

    The International Competition Jury is composed of: Bruno Dequen, Florencia Santucho, Leena Pasanen and Liang Zhao. The Czech Competition Jury is composed of: Emel Celebi, Veton Nurkollari, Iris Olsson and Barbara Orlicz, while the Václav Havel Jury is composed of: Andrés Cañizalez, Artur Sakunts, María Carrion, Moataz Al-Fegieri and Tetiana Pechonchyk.
