The film tells the story of a 60 year old successful veterinarian named Jan, who is fed up with being manipulated by his family and decides to start a new and risky life.
Bajgar directed and wrote the script. The film stars Jiří Bartoska as the veterinarian and Eliška Balzerová as Jan's wife. The cast includes popular actors Iva Janžurová and Táňa Vilhelmová.
The film was very successful in the domestic theatrical distribution, reaching attendance of 386,000.
Petr Erben produced through Logline Production in coproduction with the Czech TV and Slovakia’s RTVS and RWE.
The State Cinematography Fund supported the film. The Czech distributor is CinemArt.
