Ex Oriente Announces 2017 Projects

    PRAGUE: The Institute of Documentary Film has announced the names of the 12 documentary projects selected for the 15th edition of the Ex Oriente Film workshop, an international training programme focused on development and funding of creative documentary films.

    Ex Oriente Film said that it received a high number of applications from 40 different countries.

    The first workshop will be held 26 June – 1 July in Split. The regional partner of the 1st session is the Zagreb based production company Hulahop.

    Along with the 12 selected projects, two substitute projects were also chosen.

    Holy Culture! (director: Ksenia Gapchenko, producer: Marusya Syroechkovskaya), Russia      
    Lady Porn (director: Zoe D'Amaro, producer: Danuta Krasnohorska), Italy / Poland    
    Lesson of Love (director: Malgorzata Goliszewska, Kasia Mateja, producer: Anna Stylinska), Poland   
    Love Is Not an Orange (director: Otilia Babara, producer: Jet Koomen, Hanne Phlypo), Romania / Belgium     
    Never Happened (director: Barbora Berezňáková, producer: Hana Šilarová, Dávid Čorba), Slovakia / Czech Republic
