Set in the Czech Republic in the late 80's, Oblivious is written by first-time TV screenwriter Ondrej Gabriel.

Ivan Zacharias previously directed the HBO Europe mini-series Wasteland, which premiered at the 2016 Karlovy Vary IFF and is now set for streaming distribution in the U.S.

The previous HBO Europe originals from the Czech Republic are: Wasteland, the acclaimed Agnieszka Holland-directed miniseries Burning Bush, rom-com Head over Heels, thriller Mamon and three seasons of In Treatment.
