Poland, Czechs take home One World awards

    Poland's Pawel Łoziński was awarded Best Director for his documentary Chemo at the One World film festival held in Prague.

    The festival presents documentary films on the topic of international human rights.

    Two Czech films also received prizes. All That Glitters by Tomáš Kudrna won the Czech Radio Award for creative use of music and sound in a documentary film. Leading in the audience award category was The Unwelcome by Tomáš Škrdlant.

    Other awarded films were Enemies of the People (UK/Cambodia) for Best Film, and The Sun Behind the Clouds (India) for the Rudolf Vrba "Right to Know" Award.

    The One World festival (www.oneworld.cz) will screen 18 of the best films in Brussels April 12-19, 2010, with the participation of the Polish President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek.
