Czechs Complete Digital Switch

PRAGUE: The Czech Republic has completed the switch to digital TV transmission, becoming the first country in Central Europe to finalize the process.

The total cost of the switchover was 40 million euros going toward building some 70 transmitters throughout the country. the last phase of the switchover took place near Zlin in the eastern part of the country. Digital TV reaches all by 0.4% of the country, which is served by three digital multiplexes.
