MTV launches localised broadcasts from the three Baltic states

Postimees writes that UAB MTV Networks Baltic broadcasts the hugely popular MTV programme in the three Baltic countries.

"The sale agreement has been signed and we hope to close the deal in the nearest time," said Üllar Jaaksoo, a partner of Martinson Trigon.

Jaaksoo refused to comment the deal before it is closed. "But there is nothing surprising about the sale since we are strategic investors, not financial investors," he added.

Ananey Communications is listed on the Tel Aviv stock exchange and broadcasts MTV in Israel. It has 19 cable and satellite channels in Israel and recently opened a children's TV channel in Romania.

MTV Estonia was launched in the autumn 2006. Martinson Trigon says it has invested over 20 million kroons in the project all over the Baltic states.
