GRANTS: Estonian Film Institute and Cultural Endowment Announce Grants

    TALLINN: Estonian Film Institute and the audiovisual endowment of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia have allotted 37,000 EUR and 383,515 EUR respectively for film development and production in the last sessions of 2017.

    The largest production grant from the Cultural Endowment -114,000 EUR, went to the long animated film Sipsik, directed by Meelis Arulepp and Karsten Kiilerich, and produced by A Film Estonia.

    The Cultural Endowment also gave 30,000 EUR of coproduction support to Homeless Bob Production’s Undergods by Chino Moya, and 26,400 EUR of production support to award-winning Estonian animator Priit Tender for his Orpheus, produced by Eesti Joonisfilm.

    The Estonian Film Institute gave out two feature film development and three script development grants at the end of 2017, while the Cultural Endowment supported the production of four feature, nine documentary, and three short films, and also the development of two feature films, eight documentaries as well as seven scripts.
