FESTIVALS: LIfetime Awards for Raamat and Maran

TALLINN: The Black Nights FF (www.poff.ee) will present Lifetime Achievement awards to two Estonian filmmakers, Rein Raamat and Rein Maran, at the closing ceremony on 30 November 2011. Raamat is considered the founder of Estonia's animated film sector. Maran is notable for directing films about nature and as a past chairman of the Estonian Filmmakers' Union.

Lifetime Achievement awards are also going to Icelandic director/producer Fridrik Thor Fridriksson and Russian director Aleksander Sokurov.
