FNE at Tbilisi IFF 2012: Tbilisi Prize Winners

    TBILISI: Polish director Slawomir Fabicki took home the Golden Prometheus, the top award of the international competition, at the 13th Tbilisi International Film Festival (www.tbilisifilmfestival.ge) for his film Loving.  Georgian director Giorgy Parajanov took home the Silver Prometheus award for Best Director for the Georgian Czech and Russian coproduction Everybody’s Gone.

    In the Georgian Panorama competition section the prize for Best Georgian film went to The Machine Which Makes Everything Disappear directed by Tinatin Gurchiani.  The film will get to participate in the Gothenburg International Film Festival, January in 2013.

    The awards ceremony was held on 8 December in Cinema Amirani in Tbilisi.
