FNE at BIAFF 2013: Norway Takes Two Top Awards at Georgian Festival

    BATUMI: The 8th Batumi International Art-house Film Festival held in Batumi 15-22 September 2013 gave its Grand Prix to the Norwegian/German/Iraqi film Before Snowfall. The Danish/Norwegian/British film Act of Killing won the prize for best documentary.

    The Polish short film Miruna won the main prize in its section, and the Georgian coproduction financed by the Georgian National Film Center (www.gnfc.ge) and coproduced by Georgia’s Gemini Producing Center Paradjanov claimed the prize for best actor. The festival is organized by the Art House "Argani" and sponsored in part by the Georgian National Film Center.
