FESTIVALS: Zoology Wins the 11th Batumi International Art house Film Festival

    BATUMI: Zoology by Ivan I.Tverdovskiy won the Grand Prix in the feature film competition of the 11th Batumi International Art house Film Festival (BIAFF), taking place from 18 to 25 September 2016.

    The festival organised competitions for feature films, documentaries and short films.

    International competition jury consisted of Dito Tsintsadze, Georgia (head of jury), Mahtab Keramati (Iran), Liza Antonova (Russia), Iryna Gordiichuk (Ukraine) and Gulnara Abikieva (Kazakhstan).

    Documentary competition jury consisted of Marina Razbeshkina, Russia (head of jury), Nargiz Baghirzade (Azerbaijan), Oles Yanchuk (Ukraine), Elhum Shakerifar (UK), and Beso Odisharia (Georgia), while the short film competition jury was composed of Zaza Khalvashi, Georgia (head of jury), David Muradian (Armenia), Julia Sinkevych (Ukraine), Diliara Tasbulatova, (Russia) and Zura Sturua (Georgia).
