Hungarian Digital Subscriptions Rise

BUDAPEST: Digital TV subscriptions in Hungary rose by over 19,000 during the month of September, according to a report in the Budapest Business Journal.

Subscriptiong at the 14 leading providers, cover 88% of Hungary, reached 1,593,000. Of those, just over 900,000 were satellite subscribers, and the remainder were cable or IPTV subscribers.The top 3 providers cover over 71% of the market.

Hungary has 3.2 million pay-TV households and 600,000 non-pay-TV households.
