"The film is a good art house film rather than a commercial one," producer László Kántor told FNE when asked about the commercial prospects of the film. He is hoping for more than 10,000 admissions. The film will be distributed in Hungary by Mozinet (www.mozinet.hu) in one 35mm copy. "The rest is DCP and Blue Ray, for the countryside," Kántor said. Istanbul, My Dream/Isztambul is produced by Kántor and Új Budapest Filmstúdió (www.ujbudapestfilmstudio.hu) together with Holland's Phanta Vision (www.phantavision.com), the Ireland's Ripple World Pictures (www.rippleworld.com) and the Turkish company Kuzey Film (www.kuzeyfilm.com) The main actors are Johanna ter Steege, Padraic Delaney and Yavuz Bingöl. Daniel Gáras is the DOP. Fortissimo Film (www.fortissimo.nl) which is handling the international sales has sold the film to HBO, Kántor told FNE. Istanbul, My Dream had its world premiere at the 48th Antalya International Film Festival in October 2011 and soon after it was released in Turkey.
