BUCHAREST: Radu Dinulescu is in post-production with The Cernosaurs, a 70 minute 2D animation film produced by the Romanian company Artis Film (www.artisfilm.ro ) with the support of the National Centre for Cinema (www.cncinema.abt.ro ) and Romanian public television (www.tvr.ro ). The budget is 270,000 Euro, the producer Cornelia Paloş told FNE. The project won a production grant of 118,600 Euro (395,000 RON) from the National Centre for Cinema in 2007. Cernozaurii/The Cernosaurs focuses on the aftermath of a nuclear disaster when new life forms appear, a combination of objects and beings with various shapes and behaviours, with referrence to Cernobyl and its catastrophic consequences. The script was written Dinulescu. Larry Jarrell from What the Flux Media (www.whatthefluxmedia.biz ) is the art director and animator, and Cyndi Foster is the lead animator. The premiere in cinemas is set for the summer of 2012. Dinulescu, who is the manager of a puppet theater in Arad (where he staged the world's first 3D puppet show in 2011), has been passionate about this subject for several years. In 2006 he edited the sticker album Cernozaurii, with drawings representing monsters born in nuclear disasters.
