BUDAPEST: The Turkish crime show Ezel has been breaking TV viewer records in Hungary since its debut in April 2011. According to Today's Zaman, Turkish programmes have become the most popular shows on TV in Hungary.

Ezel, which debuted in Turkey in fall 2009, has already been widely broadcast across Central Europe. It has been seen in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic.

Ezel is produced by Kerem Catay for ATV (www.atv.com.tr). The show is broadcast by RTL Klub (www.rtlklub.hu).
