Malta Invests in Training for Film Crews

By

VALETTA: The Malta Film Commission (MFC) is partnering with British firm Peachy on a training programme for more than 100 film crew workers.

The programme, which focuses on the areas of sound and sets, will provide training for low-skilled unemployed workers on both the main island and smaller Gozo. Both have become destination points for large scale international productions, currently at a high point. The workshops feature hands-on training in order to provide the skilled crews currently in demand.

MFC’s training programmes also include a five-day workshop in props procurement, taking place in early November, and a course for sound assistants, which was held in mid-October.
