VALLETTA: The British adventure/comedy/drama The Obscure Life of the Duke of Corsica, written and directed by Daniel Graham and starring Timothy Spall and Peter Stormare, is currently shooting on locations in the Maltese islands. The project is benefiting from the incentives from the Malta Film Commission.

The Obscure Life of the Duke of Corsica is one of 20 productions shooting in Malta in 2019 which are using the 40 percent tax credit from the Malta Film Commission, according to Times of Malta.

The Maltese media reports that the film is in its last week of shooting.

In the storyline, a cantankerous and brilliant architect (Timothy Spall) embarks on a highly unusual commission in Malta for a man who calls himself 'The Grand Duke of Corsica' (Peter Storemare). When an epidemic hits the island, everyone must flee, but the architect remains to finish the job.
