The story is set right after the fall of communism and follows three women who desperately want to change their small-town lives. Tomasz Wasilewski wrote the script. The cast includes Magdalena Cielecka, Marta Nieradkiewicz, Dorota Kolak, Julia Kijowska and Andrzej Chyra. Romanian filmmaker Oleg Mutu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days produced by Mobra Films) is the DoP. Shooting started on 4 February 2015 and will wrap at the end of the month.
United States of Love is produced by Piotr Kobus and Agnieszka Drewno through Manana with a planned budget of approximately 1.6 m EUR / 6.7 m PLN. The film received a production grant of approximately 600,000 EUR / 2.5 m PLN from the Polish Film Institute. The premiere is set for 2016.
