Candidates for PISF Director Position Revealed

    WARSAW: A list of nine candidates to replace Agnieszka Odorowicz as the Director of Polish Film Institute was announced after the Competition Committee finalised its first session.

    The first session of the Competition Committee took place on 10 June 2015 and resulted in nine candidates who qualified to the second stage of selection for the post of PISF director. The Committee members were chosen by the Polish Minister of Culture Małgirzata Omilanowska.

    Agnieszka Odorowicz will end her second term as the Director of Polish Film Institute in October 2015 and the results of the competition for her replacement will be revealed by August.

    The list of nine candidates qualified for the second stage of the Competition includes:

    Tomasz Dąbrowski - Head of Film Commission Poland

    Wojciech Hoflik - Commissioner to the PISF Director, head of Film Production and Development

    Joanna Kiliszek - Culture manager, exhibition curator. Vice-director of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute 2008-2014.

    Dominique Lesage - Executive Director of TP Group 2007-2014 - in charge of television and production service development as well as full feature coproduction.

    Anna Sienkiewicz-Rogowska - Comissioner to the PISF Director, head of Film Culture Pouplarisation and Promotion.

    Magdalena Sroka - Vice-president of Culture and City Promotion in Krakow

    Dariusz Wieromiejczyk - TVP Film Agency Director since 2006.

    Paweł Wachnik - Former Director of Multikino cinema chain.

    Dariusz Zawiślak - Director and film producer
