EKRAN+ 2015 Wraps in Warsaw

By

WARSAW: Nine production teams from all over Europe participated at the 11th edition of EKRAN+, an international training programme for film professionals organized by Wajda Studio.

"We created EKRAN+ to mirror the way we used to work at the Polish Film School. Colleagues talking, giving advice on and off set - that was the way we used to do it and we learned a great deal. We wanted the young directors to meet with experienced filmmakers, because they can lead them and give them practical advice. We opened Wajda School to international filmmakers because only by cooperation we can all go forward", Andrzej Wajda told FNE.

The training programme was launched in March 2015 and wrapped on 30 June 2015 with a special screening of the finished projects. Each session took place under the tutorship of renowned international filmmakers led by Andrzej Wadja, Wojciech Marczewski, Denijal Hasanović and Udayan Prasad. During the 11th edition the participants had the chance to work with Paweł Pawlikowski, Łukasz Żal, Krzysztof Zanussi, Jan Harlan, Peter Buckingham and others.
