WARSAW: A Polish court due to rule on a US request to extradite filmmaker Roman Polański will sit on 22 September 2015.

Roman Polański, who holds Polish and French citizenship, lives in Paris, so any Polish extradition order would not force his return to the United States, but if the extradition request is granted, Polański's new project, the feature film An Officer And A Spy (working title), would be jeopardized.

The case was adjourned in May 2015 when the court decided it needed more information from authorities in the United States. In 1977 in the USA Polański pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl during a photo shoot in Los Angeles.
