OLSZTYN: The new regional film fund for Warmia and Mazury offers 115,500 EUR / 500,000 PLN of funding for film productions that will promote the region and its film professionals.

The Warmia-Mazury Regional Film Fund launched in Olsztyn as part of the Regional Film Office and Education and Culture Initiative Center on 13 March 2017. The annual budget of the fund is 115,500 EUR / 500,000 PLN. Filmmakers can apply for funding until 5 April 2017.

The projects will be judged by an experts committee. The condition for application is the connection of the topic of the film or TV series with Warmia and Mazury as well as locating the production in the region, so as to ensure the spending of funds and hiring of local film professionals. A biographic connection of the filmmakers with Warmia and Mazury may also be an essential factor in getting funding.
