The award-winning drama, most recently named Best Film at the Gdynia Film Festival, will be distributed in Sweden by Folkets Bio.

Matuszyński’s feature debut is based on the life of painter Zdzisław Beksiński and his family. It was produced by Aurum Film in coproduction with HBO Polska and Lightcraft, with support from the Polish Film Institute and the Mazovia Film Fund.

Last Family opened in Polish cinemas on 30 September 2016 distributed by Kino Świat. It sold 210,000 admissions during the first week and had a total of 527,104 admissions in 2016. International sales are managed by New Europe Film Sales.
