Arkadiusz Biedrzycki and Bartłomiej Konarski win SCRIPT PRO 2017

    CRACOW: Arkadiusz Biedrzycki and Bartłomiej Konarski won the Special Award Canal+ at SCRIPT PRO 2017 for their script In Person / We własnej osobie.

    A celebratory gala for the SCRIPT PRO 2017 competition, organised by the Wajda School and Off Camera Foundation in partnership with Canal + and the Polish Film Institute, took place on 3 May 2017 in Cracow. 

    The jury headed by Anna Waśniewska-Gill including Kinga Gałuszka, Krzysztof Rak and Maciej Sobieszczański chose 8 finalists:

    Cud – Teresa Czepiec
    Lęk – Monika Sobień
    Niezgoda – Maciej Odoliński
    Powrót – Marcin Ciastoń
    Próba matki – Jakub Stożek
    Rent a Life – Michalina Fabijańska, Agata Puszcz
    Syrenka – Roman Jarosz
    Trzy tysiące kroków – Przemysław Jurek
    We własnej osobie – Arek Biedrzycki, Bartłomiej Konarski
    Zabawa, zabawa – Mika Dunin, Kinga Dębska

    The Special Award Canal+ at the SCRIPT PRO Competition is 15,000 PLN / 3,500 EUR. The winning script In Person / We własnej osobie, set in the 80s, is about a Polish man who decides to steal another man's identitity and leave the country in order to find his German mother, who is the deported wife of a Wermacht officer. 

    The Special Polish Film Institute Prize (12,000 PLN / 2,800 EUR) was awarded to Jakub Stożek for his script Mother Trail / Próba matki. The third prize of 8,000 PLN / 1,800 EUR, funded by PISF, went to Mika Dunin and Kinga Dębska for their script Fun, Fun / Zabawa, zabawa

    All SCRIPT PRO 2017 finalists are awarded with financial scholarships funded by the Polish Film Institute and special script consultations with tutors from Wajda School & Studio.
