PRODUCTION: German/Polish Drama The War Moves into Preproduction

    WARSAW: Israeli director and screenwriter Hagar Ben-Ashar has begun the process of casting young actors for her new drama The War Has Ended. Production is planned to begin in the spring of 2018.

    The War Has Ended, set right after WWII, is the story of a young girl who travels with a mysterious doctor in search of his lost son. A casting call for children and young actors to play main roles was held in Warsaw on 13 and 14 May 2017. 

    The shoot for the film is planned for the spring of 2018. The War Has Ended is produced by Mandants (Poland) and Pola Pandora Filmproduktions GmbH (Germany). The budget of the production has not yet been revealed. The film received 40,000 EUR for production support from the Polish-German Coproduction Fund.
