Polish Film Institute Announces Award Nominations

    WARSAW: The Polish Film Institute (PISF) has announced nominations for the 11th edition of its annual awards. The gala will take place during the 43rd Gdynia Film Festival (17-22 September 2018).

    The nomination Committee was headed by the Director of the Polish Film Institute Radosław Śmigulski and included: Leszek Bodzak, Ernest Bryll, Andrzej Goleniewski, Łukasz Knap, Marcin Pieńkowski, Ewa Szwarc and Piotr Zaremba.

    The Polish Film Institute's awards were created in 2008 in order to show appreciation for the efforts of many cinema enthusiasts and organisations, who propagate knowledge about cinema, promote Polish films, educate young viewers, publish information about films and organise festivals, retrospectives, exhibitions and meetings. The candidates are nominated by cultural institutions, film schools and other companies and institutions working within the cultural field.
