Films from CEE Countries Selected for Arte Kino Online Festival Featured


WARSAW: Mug by Poland's Małgorzata Szumowska and For Some Inexplicable Reason by Hungary's Gábor Reisz are among the ten films available online for free in 45 European countries within the third edition of Arte Kino Festival from 1 to 31 December 2018.

ArteKino Festival, which was created by ARTE and Festival Scope with the aim of supporting the European art house cinema, is now making films available in 10 languages (French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, Hungarian, Romanian, Polish, Portuguese and Ukrainian).

Films are available on artekinofestival.com and on the ArteKino app for iOS and Android. Online viewers will vote the winner of the ArteKino Audience Award (30,000 EUR shared between the director and sales agent) and they can win a trip to the Locarno Film Festival 2019.

Starting in January 2019, ArteKino will showcase one short or long film for free per month on its website and app.

Arte Kino is co-funded by the the MEDIA sub-programme of Creative Europe..
