MPT launches Poznań Media Expo

    The Poznań International Fair (MPT) will host one of the biggest television events in Poland, the Poznań Media Expo, February 19-21, 2009.
    The three day gathering of film professionals during the Expo (http://pme.mtp.pl) will be held on MPT (www.mtp.pl) grounds. Film professionals from Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, Italy and Germany will exhibit their latest technological novelties and program ideas for the film industry. The fair will host representatives of nearly all major broadcasters of the Polish market.

    The first day will be devoted to New Technologies and Digitalization, a burning topic for the Polish market with DTT to be introduced by the end of the year. The second day will evolve around the TV Market Problems, with a debate titled "Television, What Next?" Polish channel TV Biznes will broadcast the discussion that will include Anna Streżyńska (UKE) Witold Kołodziejski (KRRiTv), Jerzy Straszewski (Polish Chamber for Electronic Communication,PIKE) and Maciej Strzembosz ( Polish Chamber of Audiovisual Producers, KIPA). The last day of the event will be devoted to Programming and will include panels focusing on the questions of advertising and the development of Polish cinemas.

    The Expo will also provide an overview of the latest Polish feature films, cartoons, short films and TV programs.
