Polish films in Moscow

    Sixteen Polish films are being screened in Moscow during the first "Vistula" Festival of Polish Cinema. The event, which will be held annually, is organized by the Polish Film Institute, the city of Warsaw and Polish Television, according to the institute's website (www.pisf.pl).

    Among the films are Jan Jakub Kolski's Jasminium, Feliks Falk's The Collector, Saviour's Square by husband-and-wife team Krzysztof Krauze and Joanna Kos-Krauze, the award-winning short film Kizi Mizi by Mariusz Wilczyński,and Peter and the Wolf, a joint Polish-British production which won the 2008 Academy Award for Best Animated Short.

    All the films are being presented in their original language version, with Russian subtitles.
