FNE at T-Mobile New Horizons Polish Days: My Father’s Bike

WROCŁAW: An elderly man, accompanied by his son and grandson, undertakes a journey to win back the wife who left him for another man in Piotr Trzaskalski's dark comedy My Father's Bike.

 

Trzaskalski is best known for his drama Edi (2002, www.opusfilm.com), which was awarded at the Berlin International Film Festival (www.berlinale.de) in 2003.

{mosimage}My Father's Bike was shot on location in Łódź in August/September 2011. The 1 m EUR film received financing from the Polish Film Institute and the Municipal Office of the City of Łódź. The film is produced by Federico Film (www.federicofilm.com), founded in 1997 by Marta Laryssa Plucińska (Producer on the Move 2012 in Cannes). The world sales of My Father's Bike is managed by TVN S.A. (www.tvn.pl). The Polish distributor is ITI Cinema (www.iticinema.com.pl). The theatrical release of the picture is planned for November 2012.
