Polish director Agnieszka Holland's holocaust film In Darkness has been nominated for the Critics Choice Award, which is given out by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, comprised of U.S. and Canadian film critics.

In Darkness, based on the true story of a Lvov sewer worker who hides a group of Jews, has drawn international acclaim and is Poland's choice for a Best Foreign Language nomination. 

The  Critics Choice Awards will be announced on 12 January 2012.
